We’re happy to accept online returns within the approved return period for a full refund, exchange for an item of equal value, or store credit. Our standard return policy provides a 30-day return period and includes most products. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Items sent back to us without an approved Return Authorization Number (RMA) will not be accepted. 


Items need to be returned in a like-new condition. Items that are damaged, unsanitary, dented, scratched or missing contents may be denied a return. All items must be their original packaging with UPC code and include all original items such as tags, manuals, accessories, etc.


Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we may evaluate the issue and make it right. Certain types of items cannot be returned, like consumable items (such as batteries, cleaners, and ink), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and items that have been modified, changed, damaged, used, or altered in any way.

Requirements & Restrictions

All returned items must be in new condition, in their original unaltered box (including an intact UPC code) and must include all packing material, blank warranty cards, manuals, and accessories.

All coverages and warranties are voided if the hardware of the product is modified in any way. This includes but is not limited to: replacing the battery, hard drive, or RAM.

The following requirements and restrictions apply to all returns and refunds. Product(s) returned to MacAuthority that do not meet the following criteria will not be accepted and refunds and exchanges will not be processed. Items returned after the return period are not eligible for a refund or exchange. 


  • Items must be in new, unused condition;

  • Items must not be damaged or show signs of ware;
  • Items must be returned within the approved return period;
  • Return must have a valid Return Authorization Number (RMA);
  • Any free items, you must return all associated items for a full refund;
  • Electronic devices that allow for login or paring, including but not limited to computers, phones, and scooters, must:
    • Be un-paired and removed from any account or device;
    • Have “Find My Device” turned off;
    • All MDM and device management software removed;
    • Be logged out of any Apple account;
    • Be unlocked and require no password or security codes to access.


  • Final Sale or items sold “As Is”;
  • Clearance items;
  • Custom Orders;
  • Personalized Orders;
  • Digital content;
  • Prepaid Cards (including third-party gift cards, prepaid phone cards, and MacAuthority Gift Cards);
  • Electric Vehicle Replace Key Fobs;
  • Memberships;
  • Completed Services;
  • Opened SIM kits;
  • Opened consumable items including batteries cleaning agents, cleaners, ink, and 3D printer filaments;
  • Items outside of the return period;
  • Items that have been modified, changed, damaged, or altered in any way;
  • Items that have been used;
  • Media drives.

Return Costs & Restocking Fees


A restocking fee will be charged for on the following product returns.

Don't worry, no restocking fee will be charged if your item arrived damaged, defective, not as advertised, or missing components.


If you receive the wrong order or get a defective item, you can ship your item back to us and we’ll cover the shipping. If you need to return an item or order for any other reason, you’ll be responsible for the shipping costs.


Return is Missing Items

The retail value of any free items you keep will be deducted from your reimbursement total.


Warranties do not cover misuse, unauthorized modifications, external causes such as acts of nature or shipping hazards, or damage caused by accident, or abuse of the product. Neither does the warranty cover normal wear and tear, or damage to any product used in connection with the product.
